- Implement sound environmental practices that prevent pollution and waste generation
- Share environmentally responsible practices with other businesses in our community
The Marin County Green Business Program is
part of the Bay
Area Green Business Program. Developed by Bay Area public agencies in collaboration
with US EPA, Cal EPA Department of Toxic Substances Control and the business
community, the Program is currently offered in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin,
San Francisco, Santa Clara and Sonoma counties. Now in its ninth year, the Program
expects to certify its 600th business in 2005.

Saving Opportunity!
Did you know you could received funding for saving money and energy? Public
benefits funding is available through a state sponsored energy efficiency program.
The Marin County Green Business Program has partnered with an organization to
match businesses with these available funds for energy efficiency retrofits.

Recycle Your Cell
Phones, Cartridges, PDAs and Laptops AND Help a Local Charity!
Casa Allegra Community Services is collecting businesses' and residents' unwanted
cell phones, used ink and laser cartridges, PDAs and laptops. It's a WIN-WIN
situation - you unload your garbage and help the environment. And Casa Allegra
receives much needed cash from your discards andoffer employment opportunities
for their clients who have developmental disabilities. Drop off your cell phones
& printer cartridges and toners any of the following locations. There is
no cost involved in participating, as free collection boxes and free pick up
or shipping is available.
- The Mall at Northgate, Guest Services Kiosk - Cell phones may also
be dropped off at Radio Shack, Cellular World or One Touch Wireless store
locations within The Mall at Northgate. Shoppers donating cell phones will
also receive a special discount offer.
